Analysis of feature article.

This is a magazine article on The All-American Rejects. The title of the article is Dirty Little Secrets, which I thought was really good as one of their well known songs is called 'Dirty Little Secret'. The colours used look good together, the red and the black suggest that they are quite rocky and a little bad but then using the pink can represent their innocence.I think using the title that it has was a really good idea, as when I first saw the title, I was already thinking 'Is it about The All-American Rejects' and it was so this may be the case for other readers; seeing the title will make them wonder if it is them. The producer of the magazine has used one main image of the group and then smaller images throughout the article of each band member. Underneath the title of the article, there is a little paragraph introducing the article and what some of it is about. It says ' The All-American Rejects may look and sound like a band your mum would approve of, but don't be fooled. Tyson and the crew dish the dirt.' I think this is also good as after reading this, it definitely hooks you in and you want to read more, as you want to know why you shouldn't be fooled and what the 'dirt' is. The pages also have some quotes outlined in larger, bolder text so that they stand out. They usually use ones that have swearing in, or ones that are funny as this will encourage the reader to read the article to find out what they are talking about.
