Further research into magazines.

This is a front cover for the music magazine Rap-Up. I think this magazine is aimed at mainly female audiences between the ages of 15-20 years old. I think this because of the artists used and the colours etc such as Christina Milian, T.I and Soulja Boy. I think the bright pink writing on the black and white background looks really effective as it makes it stand out alot more than it would if it was on a different coloured background such as blue or something similar. The purple and the bold black writing with white outline also looks really effective against the black and white background. The image used is also quite good as it isn't a full image, the model has been cut out of the picture and placed on the background. This is a good idea as because it is just the model shown on the front and not all the background behind her, for example, the location that the picture was taken in, it makes us as the audience focus more on her and not what is around her. The pose is really good as well as it ties in with one of the features in the magazine 'Shhh! Christina Milian "My Secret Is" ' The way she is dressed also fits in with the magazine cover as she isn't too brightly dressed by also not too dully dressed due to the purple jacket that she is wearing as this also stands out on the background. Also, the language used is also suitable for the audience of 15-20 year olds 'It's a buyers' market: 18 essentials to keep your swagger on lock!' Obviously this is aimed at a younger audience as you wouldn't really say that sort of thing to an older audience, like the sort of people who buy classical and jazz music magazines. Also, the fact that she's wearing sunglasses, this sort of shows that there is some mystery to her, so this fits in with the article about her secret.
