Continued research of magazine covers.

This is the front cover for Mixmag magazine. This magazine is a dance music and clubbing magazine. From the look of this front cover I would say that this magazine is mainly for women because of the colours used. The red, yellow and pale blue are mainly aimed at women as if it was aimed more at men then the colours would be different. Probably dark blues, reds, greens etc. I would say that this magazine is aimed at 18-24 year olds as this is most likely the 'clubbing age' The white title really stands out against the blue background and so we as the audience immediately know which magazine this is. The yellow bold text does stand out, as does the pink, however it is quite hard to read the writing unless looked at really close up. The image is of a girl on a lilo in the pool and it looks really sunny and warm as she is in a bikini. This grabs our attention as we all wish we could just lay in a pool in the sun. Although this is aimed at mostly women, men may also be attracted by the front cover due to the main image. The colours are very bright and all contribute to the magazine's appeal. The text 'Cut price Ibiza' will also attract readers' attention as the audience would want to know what this is about, so they may want to buy the magazine to find this out. Ibiza is a holiday resort well known for its clubbing and party atmosphere and so this is a good item of text to have on the front cover of a clubbing and dance music magazine. The front cover overall is very bright and I think maybe toning down the colours a bit would make the magazine cover look better, however, this may not go with the theme of the magazine as well as a brighter cover does.
