Initial thoughts and ideas.

My initial ideas are to create a magazine for an audience of 12-19 year olds. The magazine will cover all different types of music, mainly pop and r'n'b, but will cover some aspects of different genres such as indie and rock etc. The reason I chose this age range is because there aren't many good music magazines for a younger audience, they all seem to be aimed at older audiences. The magazine would include information about up and coming new artists, interviews, pictures, competitions etc. However, instead of being aimed at older audiences, there will be more aspects in the magazine that relate to younger audiences. the artists will be artists that will appeal to younger audiences. I think the target audience of 12-19 is quite good as its not too limiting. obviously, older and younger people may buy it, but this is the age that it is specifically designed for. in order to find out exactly what my audience would like the magazine to include, I will have to create a questionnaire and hand this out to 12-19 year olds to find out exactly what they're interested in, and so that my magazine will appeal to them. Once my questionnaire has been completed, I will look carefully at the answers given and produce my magazine based on the most popular ideas and hopefully this will appeal to most 12-19 year olds.
