Mock ups of front cover, contents page and feature article.

Feature Article.
Here is the mock up of my feature article, I decided that
I wanted just one large image of the artist on the right page as I really wanted the image to catch the readers' attention. Although I wanted the image to catch their attention, I also wanted the title to do this, so I am going to make sure that I make the title large enough so that it can be read and so that it will attract the readers' attention. For the questions and answers, the questions will be in a different colour from the nswers so that the reader can tell which parts are the questions and which are the answers.  On the image, I will include a text grab, which if read will encourage the reader to read te rest of the article to find out what the artist is talking about.

Here is the mock up of my front cover. As the magazine is music orientated, I wanted the 'S' to be replaced by a treble clef so this straight away shows that the magazine is music based. I have included a bar code, a date and the price to make the magazine look more genuine. I also included something to grab the readers attention, such as a competition 'WIN! GREEN DAY TICKETS!' This will attract the readers attention as not only is it a chance to win something but it stands out. I used the word EXCLUSIVE on the front of my magazine when it is talking about the artists as when you read exclusive it is usually something really good or interesting.

This is a mock up of my contents page. I thought of putting the word 'contents' down the side as I have never seen any magazine use this idea before and so it is different. I want two pictures on the contents page, one of the artist used in the feature article and one of another artist. This will just give the readers a brief insight into what is going to be in the magazine. I decided not to use two much text as i didn't want to overcrowd the page, so I just used a little bit and included a little description underneath to inform the reader of what was included in those pages.
